Ukraine Cleaners Hard-Floor Material and Finish Record

A useful floor record distinguishes what you know from what the surface merely looks like.

Separate material from finish

Name one floor area, then record its material and finish as separate facts. A wood-floor invoice does not necessarily identify its coating, and a tile carton does not document every adjacent border or grout product. Use a new record when the installed material or finish changes.

Do not infer a finish from shine, texture or color. Write down the evidence you have, who supplied it and the part of the area it covers. Keep a copied product label or document reference useful without recording household addresses or other private details in a public page.

Check the care document's applicability

A relevant document must apply to the material or product and, where applicable, the finish. NWFA's wood-floor guidance and Daltile's ceramic/porcelain guide are distinct starting references. They do not identify an installed floor and should not be substituted for a missing finish or product record.

Record why a source fits and what it leaves open. A document for ceramic/porcelain is not evidence for stone, vinyl or wood. If the only evidence is a visual guess, leave both the identity and the choice of method unresolved. Ask the maker, installer or responsible property contact for the missing record.

End with a decision someone can check

The finished record should say either which exact document has been matched or which fact is still needed. Give the pending question an owner, such as the person who holds the installation invoice. A date makes it easier to notice when a later refinishing or replacement makes the record obsolete.

Keep the record descriptive. It is not a scratch test, a compatibility test or a recommendation to try a product on an unidentified surface. Once identity evidence is complete, it becomes one row in a broader floor-care comparison.

Material and finish identity record

Use one record per distinct material/finish area. State the evidence and any mismatch before selecting a care task.

Worksheet entries stay in this page while it is open and are not sent to a server. Closing or refreshing the page clears them. To keep a copy, use Print. Avoid entering private addresses, account details or personal information.

________________________________Describe the area this record covers.
________________________________Use unknown if identity is not established.
________________________________Keep material and finish separate.
________________________________Name the record, not a visual assumption.
________________________________Record URL/document and the applicable section.
________________________________Choose a value.Choices: Exact product/finish match recorded; General reference only; Mismatch found; Unknown
________________________________Explain what must be resolved.
________________________________Choose a concrete source of the missing information.

Your floor identity note

Add an area and evidence. No product or finish is inferred.

General references and missing finish records remain pending; they do not authorize a cleaning method.

Worked example

Illustration only — hypothetical dining-room record

Floor area
Dining room inside doorway
Documented material
Wood, listed on installation invoice
Documented finish
Unknown; invoice lacks coating details
Identity evidence and date
Hypothetical installation invoice, reviewed today
Care document and exact section
NWFA Maintenance — general reference only
Applicability
General reference only
Missing fact or mismatch
Which finish was applied, and where are its care instructions?
Next person or document to ask
Ask installer for finish record and applicable care document

The material can be documented while the finish and care method remain unresolved.

Put the record to use

When the identity evidence and remaining questions are recorded, assemble the hard-floor care plan. Carry this exact area and finish record into the comparison rather than copying one floor's assumptions across every room.
